February’s Theme: "Taisho Romance" Stationery Box

February’s ZenPop Japanese stationery box features the enchanting theme "Taisho Romance", showcasing elegant and vintage-inspired stationery items that capture the artistic spirit of early 20th-century Japan.

At ZenPop, the concept revolves around being “Japanese,” “Limited,” and “Inspiring.” The brand is committed to delivering unique Japanese products you haven’t discovered yet—your next favorite item is just a box away. One of ZenPop’s standout features is its creative monthly themes, offering a fresh and original experience with every box.

For this edition, ZenPop was inspired by the romantic "Taisho Romance" era, curating the box to reflect the seasonal transition from winter to spring in February and March. The theme evokes the feelings of a hopeful protagonist welcoming the start of a new season, thoughtfully expressed through beautifully crafted Japanese stationery items.

One highlight of the box is a Japanese notebook inspired by genkouyoushi (traditional manuscript paper), a rare find outside Japan. Designed around Shimazaki Toson's classic poem “First Love”, the notebook blends vintage charm with a heartfelt aesthetic that invites you to start writing.

Also included is the “NIPPON” letter set, crafted with soft and warm Mino washi paper—perfect for sending heartfelt messages to loved ones. To further evoke the "Taisho Romance" mood, the box features elegant washi tape made from Yuzen washi, as well as beautifully textured gold and silver omamori-style message cards.

In response to feedback from the ZenPop social media community, the February box also includes a Kuretake brush pen with gold foil glitter ink and the latest Uni-ball “Creative Colors” pen set—a must-have for journaling and stationery lovers.

This month’s curation seamlessly blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern functionality, offering a nostalgic yet timeless experience that captures the true essence of Taisho-era romance and Japanese culture.
