Tefrene Neo: Y2K Ring Notebook & 4-Hole Mini Punch

King Jim is launching two new additions to their popular “Tefrene” ring notebook line, known for its unique design where the rings don’t touch your fingers while writing. The first is the “Tefrene Neo,” featuring the trendy Y2K design that’s popular among younger generations. The second is the “Tefrene 4-Hole Mini Punch,” which makes it easy to bind school handouts and printed materials into your Tefrene notebook. Both new products will be available starting February 14, 2025.

“Tefrene” is a popular notebook series featuring an innovative top-and-bottom separated ring design that prevents the rings from touching your fingers while writing. Since its launch in February 2015, the series has sold over 3 million copies, praised not only for its comfortable, ring-free writing experience but also for its thin and slim profile.

The newly added “Tefrene Neo” embraces the trendy Y2K design, highlighted by vivid colors and a revival-inspired Memphis pattern. It comes in three sizes—A5, B5, and A4—and offers four color options: two solid colors and two patterned designs. Prices range from ¥715 to ¥968 (tax included).

The rings don’t touch your fingers while writing, allowing for smooth and comfortable note-taking. In addition to the included loose-leaf paper, you can also add commercially available loose-leaf sheets. Like traditional ring notebooks, the cover can be folded back 360° for easy handling and convenience.

The “Tefrene 4-Hole Mini Punch” is a compact puncher that can create four holes at once. By simply punching one hole at the top and one at the bottom, you can easily bind printed materials into your Tefrene notebook. Punching holes continuously also allows you to use it with standard multi-hole binders. It comes with guides for A5, B5, and A4 sizes, so you can match the hole placement to your print size. Small enough to fit in a pencil case, it’s available in two colors: purple and white. Priced at ¥1,320 (tax included).
