“Pine Forest Screen” by Hasegawa Tohaku: A National Treasure Now Featured on Hobonichi Techo Covers and Weeks

The “Pine Forest Screen” (Shorin-zu Byobu) was painted approximately 420 years ago by Hasegawa Tohaku, a master artist from the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Regarded as one of the finest masterpieces of early modern Japanese ink painting (sumi-e), this national treasure is currently housed at the Tokyo National Museum.

Renowned for its mysterious and captivating allure, this beloved cultural icon has now been beautifully reimagined as a design for the Hobonichi Techo planner cover and the weekly planner Weeks edition.

The original size (A6) planner cover “Hasegawa Tohaku Pine Forest Screen” is available for ¥4,290 (tax included), the Cousin size (A5) cover is priced at ¥5,390 (tax included), and the Weeks weekly planner featuring the same design is offered at ¥2,970 (tax included).

Two New Colors Added to the Popular “tragen” Planner Cover Released in Spring 2024

The popular planner cover “tragen”, introduced in spring 2024, is expanding with two new colors. Named after the German word meaning “to carry,” “tragen” features spacious pockets designed to hold your planner along with essential stationery and tools. Despite its magnetic tri-fold design, it offers a lightweight and comfortable feel.

This spring, the lineup welcomes a soft, nuanced Oak Moss color and a bright, vibrant Red, adding fresh options to this functional and stylish planner cover collection.
