New Craft Punches with Japanese Bonsai & Sumo Designs
Carl Manufacturing released the 'Mini Craft Punch Japan Selection' (2 types, each priced at 3,300 yen including tax) for the inbound (tourist) market in early January 2025.
12 unique designs with a traditional Japanese feel
The craft punch is a hole punch for cutting out shapes, first developed by Carl Manufacturing in 1985 as the world's first of its kind. By simply inserting paper and pressing the punch, anyone can easily cut out intricate designs. Thanks to its simplicity and convenience, it has become popular worldwide.
This time, they've incorporated uniquely Japanese designs and cultural motifs into the craft punches, creating a souvenir product that allows visiting tourists to preserve memories of their trip to Japan. With designs like Mt. Fuji, bonsai, sushi, and other distinctly Japanese motifs, these punches are perfect as souvenirs, especially for tourists from Western countries.
Two different sets (each containing 6 punches) are available, distinguished by their body colors. The matcha green and red bean (azuki) colors evoke the unique color palette of Japan.
